I bought tulips two days ago. Pink. They are lovely. Here in Victoria, B.C., tulips become popular in February, making them readily available on February 14. I buy them because I love them. I also don’t expect to receive flowers today from a man. And you know what they say: fill yourself with joy because it is up to us to find our own happiness.
Cue eyeroll.
Still, I got them because they make me feel happy. They are sweet and simple and signify hope with their early-spring blooms.
I began to write about love somewhat hesitantly.
