The encounter with the pod of whales last week remains with me. Everytime someone reacts or comments on my FB posting it brings me back to the excitement of the moment, the thrill, the delight. And the trembling. Because tremble I did. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to be so close to whales in the wild. Feet away, they were so large it seemed they could just jump out of the water right there where I was standing. And while this moment can exist as it’s own, as the incredible experience it was for those few minutes, I am as I am, a meaning-making machine: a human. Many of us seem to want to find meaning in things that happen to us - whether we call it coincidence or serendipity. We must find the meaning in it.
Especially for writers and people who reflect… as in you, dear people.
